Liquid Penetrant Inspection

Penetrant inspection is a method, which has been used over a long time in a growing number of applications. In manufacturing as well as servicing facilities, the method has been increasingly applied. Many materials are suitable for inspection, and the different techniques developed over the years have emphasized its strength in the inspection arena.
Whether the choice is to apply a dye penetrant under "white light" circumstances, or a fluorescent penetrant under "ultraviolet light" conditions will be based on a variety of variables. The method is referred to as easy, and straight forward, but pending the type of application, the type of material under inspection, and the type of indications detected the method gradually becomes more difficult.

Often, it becomes more and more challenging to create the correct circumstances for the variables listed. In doing so, we assure the optimum inspection environment for the penetrant inspector, or an increased sensitivity for the technique, or general repeatability and reliabilty conditions of the method.

Line Services is able to assist in establishing the correct circumstances referred to, and introduce and/or optimize the penetrant inspection methods to meet your requirements.
